PATIENTS’ RIGHTS AT NJSC "NCCR"
The National Center for Children's Rehabilitation (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is responsible for ensuring processes that support the rights and responsibilities of patients and their families during the provision of medical care and services.
Medical care and services are attentive and respectful of patients and support personal freedom, dignity, independent expression, and choice.
Medical care and services support patients' abilities to achieve the highest possible social, physical, and functional levels through the Center's mission and services.
Medical care and services respect patient privacy.
Patients have the right to keep and use personal belongings and property, as well as to be protected against theft, damage, or loss of such property during their stay at the Center. The Center's staff shall not be held liable for the safekeeping of valuables that have not been deposited for storage.
The Center provides an environment that promotes patient well-being and respect.
The Center supports patient communication with family and visitors.
The Center supports patient communication outside the organization.
Patient decisions to participate or not participate in spiritual, social, and other activities or groups are supported.
Patients have the right to be protected from neglect, exploitation, and abuse.
Patient information is confidential and protected against loss or misuse.
The Center upholds the rights of patients and their families to participate in medical care and service processes.
The Center informs patients and family members, in an understandable manner and language, about the conditions for providing medical services, treatment and rehabilitation methods, and how they can participate in care and service decisions.
The Center informs patients and family members of their rights and responsibilities regarding the refusal or discontinuation of treatment and rehabilitation.
The Center supports the involvement of patients and their families in decision-making regarding changes to treatment and rehabilitation plans.
The Center informs patients and their families of the process for receiving and responding to complaints, conflicts, and grievances related to service delivery, as well as the patient's right to participate in these processes.
The Center allows patients and/or their family members to meet as an organized group to discuss important matters related to patient care and service delivery.
All patients are informed of their rights and responsibilities in an accessible format and understandable language.
PATIENTS’ RESPONSIBILITIES AT NJSC "NCCR"
Take care of one's own health.
Take measures to preserve and promote one's health.
For patient safety, hand over all personal medications to the pharmacy for safekeeping.
Treat healthcare professionals with respect and tact.
Provide the physician with all information necessary to diagnose and treat the condition. Upon giving consent to medical intervention, strictly follow all instructions of the attending physician.
Comply with the daily schedule and internal regulations, handle the Center's property with care, and cooperate with medical staff when receiving medical and rehabilitation care.
Inform medical personnel of one's condition in the case of infectious diseases or conditions that pose a risk to others.
Refrain from actions that violate the rights of other patients.
Accompanying caregivers must not leave children unattended.
Remain in the ward/department only in tidy clothing and indoor footwear.
Attend procedures, sessions, meals, and other scheduled events strictly at the designated times.
Sanitize hands using the designated dispensers located at the entrances to the department and wards upon entering and leaving.
Do not remove the child's identification wristband. If damaged, notify the nurse immediately for a replacement.
Maintain quiet within the Center.
Keep the ward and department clean and tidy.
Do not dispose of trash or waste into toilets that could clog the plumbing system.
Do not pour liquid food waste into trash bins.
Label all food stored in the refrigerator with the date.
Properly store personal belongings and valuables, which remain the responsibility of the patients. Notify staff if leaving the bed/ward.
Do not use electronic devices that may cause interference with the Center's medical equipment.
Use only designated smoking areas.
Smoking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises and grounds of the Center are strictly prohibited.
In the event of a violation of the Center's stay regulations, the patient may be discharged with a corresponding note in the discharge summary.
